c) Lighthouse windows: R.Bradfield reported that the window sashes in the
lighthouse are rotten. They were replaced only 5 years ago. They have been
replaced 3 times in the past 20 years. The problem lies with the sloping sides
of the lighthouse cause water to pool in the sash, and cause rotting.
C.Buchanan suggested that we replace these wooden ones with vinyl sashes.
If the windows could be opened, then the building could ventilate if a
turbine was placed on the top to draw the air upwards. C.Buchanan agreed to
research window companies for options and bring ideas & prices to the Dec.
Meeting.
