Present: Chair—Bev Hickey, Vice Chair- Chuck Buchanan, Matt Schafer, Ron Bradfield, Kimberly Legg, Ray Maddox, Lynda Millard Regrets: Susan Start, Albert White, Ally Shelly 1. Call to Order Chair Bev Hickey called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm 2. Disclosure of Pecuniary Interest None. 3. Review of Items Not on the Agenda Items not on the agenda to be reviewed as presented. It was moved by Chuck Buchanan and seconded by Ray Maddox that the Agenda he approved as presented. Motion Carried 4. Announcements None. 5. Delegation(s) None. 6. Approval of Previous Minutes It was moved by Matt Schaffer and seconded by Ray Maddox that the minutes of the January 13, 2016 meeting be approved. Motion Carried. 7. Correspondence A. V.LP. passes Complimentary V.I.P. passes for the Boat Show offering free admission were made available to Board members to support the advertisement of our booth. B. Let's Eat Correspondence received from Mary Baxter, Editor of Morelmag.ca, a web-based general interest magazine that serves Ontario's south and west. She has requested an image or an artifact to be included in a digital exhibit. The kitchen display from the Edison Museum, including the set table and stove in the corner may be appropriate. The stove in the building by the lighthouse would also be appropriate. To be taken under advisement for now. C. Request Request from Norwich Museum for mannequins or dress forms from June 1st to July 12th Responded with the suggested that she contact Sally Martin in Sparta. 8. Unfinished Business: A. Schedule for London Boat, Fishing & Outdoor Show Chuck Buchanan and Bev Hickey will take care of the set up on Thursday February 18th' Ally Shelly can cover Friday 3:00pm — 9:00pm Matt Schaffer will be at the booth Saturday from 10:00am —2:30pm, and Ron Bradfield will cover from 2:30— 6:OOpm Chuck Buchanan and Dorothy will cover the booth Sunday, February 20th from 10:00am — 5:00 pm. Bev Hickey will be there on Sunday, February 20t1i to help pack up the booth items. Thank you to everyone who is able to help with this publicity. B. Telephone Answering service for Museum There is an answering machine already at the Marine Museum (the Lighthouse shares this phone line). There is a message directing callers to contact the Municipality or to leave a message that is checked periodically. There is a similar message for callers to the Edison Museum. 9. New Business. A. Doors Open 2016- September 24/16 10:00am to 4:00 pm:. It was moved by Ron Bradfield seconded by Ray Maddox that we participate in Doors Open Ontario 2016. Motion carried. Bev Hickey has completed this form and will ensure it is received by Brenda Gibbons before the deadline. B. Council Resolution re Edison Museum - sub committee needed There was some discussion regarding possible solutions to displaying the artifacts from the Edison Museum. Further discussion for this item is moved to the March meeting. Members are asked to come prepared to the March meeting to share ideas and any further information, and to determine a resolution to forward to Council. It was requested that a recommendation be prepared from the building sub-committee for the March Museums Bayham meeting. Matt Shafer will ensure the sub-committee is made aware of this request. 10. Finances (Budget): The budget has been passed by Council at the January 21`t meeting with adjustments to the Edison budget. 11. Other Business None. 12. Next Meeting The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 9th, 2016 at 7:00 pm at the Municipal office. 13. Adjournment It was moved by Matt Schafer that the meeting be adjourned at 7:55 pm.
