1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Ketchabaw called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

2. DISCLOSURES OF PECUNIARY INTEREST & THE GENERAL NATURE THEREOF
No disclosures of pecuniary interest were declared.
3. PURPOSE OF THE MEETING
Mayor Ketchabaw advised that this is a public meeting of Council being held under section 12 of
the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended. The purpose of the meeting is to give the
public an opportunity to ask questions, provide comments, and make representations on the
development charges background study and proposed by-law.
4. PRESENTATION
Gary Scandlan from Watson & Associates Economists Ltd. gave a brief presentation of the
findings of the study.
5. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
Mayor Ketchabaw asked if anyone would like to speak.

John Seldon signed in and asked clarifying questions about what the study includes, financial
considerations, and capacity issues. Council, Staff and the Consultant collaboratively responded
to Mr. Seldon's inquiries.
No other public participation took place. Mayor Ketchabaw indicated that any further comments
may be received by the Municipal Office until September 22, 2022.
6. ADJOURNMENT
Moved by: Councillor Chilcott
Seconded by: Deputy Mayor Weisler
THAT the adoption of a Development Charges by-law be considered at a future meeting of
Council;
AND THAT pursuant to the Development Charges Act requirements, the Public Meeting is
now complete at 6:21 p.m.
