Joint Cemetery Board Meeting Minutes
Bayham Municipal Office, Outside - Pavilion

September 13th, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.
Present were David Andrews, Bonnie Ball, Marlene Carter, Ralph Carter, Perry Grant, Roger
James, Lynda Millard, Al Stewart, Mayor Ed Ketchabaw (ex officio)
Members of Council Present were Councillor Rainey Weisler
Steff Present were CAO|Clerk Thomas Thayer and Treasurer Lorne James
1. Call to Order & Appointment of Chairman
The Treasurer called the meeting to order at 6:11 p.m. Perry Grant was appointed
Chairman.
2. Disclosure of Pecuniary Interest
No disclosures of Pecuniary Interest were declared.
3. Review of Items Not on the Agenda
None.
4. Announcements
None.
5. Delegations
None.
6. Minutes of meeting held November 27th, 2019 for approval

THAT the minutes of the Joint Cemetery Board Meeting held November 27, 2019 be
approved as read.

7. Matters of Business
7.1 Action Required
a) 2022 Maintenance
a. Please bring, or provide in advance a written listing of maintenance
works (tree trimming and removal, spraying, requested to be
conducted in 2022/2023. The Municipality will issue a single RFP for
the works.
Discussion was held regarding grass cutting, specifically number of cuts and spraying.
All cemeteries with the exception of Calton requested 14 cuts per year. Calton
Cemetery requested 12 cuts per year. Calton Cemetery requested laneway work.

a) Municipal Treasurers Report
a. 2019/2020 Year End Financial Reports - provided
b. 2019/2020 Care and Maintenance Report – provided
c. Care and Maintenance and 2022 Budget
The Treasurer presented 2019/2020 Year End Financial Reports, 2019/2020 Care and
Maintenance Report, Care and Maintenance and 2022 Budget.

None.
9. New Business
Discussion was held regarding changes to Rates and Fees. The Treasurer will confirm
comparable fees from non-municipal cemeteries and advise the Board members.
