4. PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT
A. Zoning Application submitted by Timothy and Samantha Harms THE PURPOSE of this By-law is an amendment to change the zoning regulations on 36.8 ha
(90 acres) of land to allow supplementary farm dwelling floor area maximum of 279 m2 (3,003
ft2) in the form of two mobile trailers and one permanent building to accommodate up to
eighteen (18) seasonal farm labourers, in Zoning By-law Z456-2003. The subject lands are
located at 8542 Plank Road, east side, north of Jackson Line.
THE EFFECT of this By-law will be to recognize the existing supplementary farm dwelling in
the form of a 65 m2 (700 ft2) floor area trailer, which will be relocated, for up to five (5) labourers; to permit a second trailer of the same dimensions and capacity; and, to permit the development of a third supplementary farm dwelling in the form of a 149 m2 (1,603 ft2)
permanent building for up to eight (8) labourers, with combined floor area exceeding the maximum of 167 m2 (1,800 ft2). 5. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

NOTICE OF A PUBLIC MEETING
CONCERNING A PROPOSED
ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT
IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM
APPLICANT: TIMOTHY AND SAMANTHA HARMS,

TAKE NOTICE that the Municipality of Bayham has received a complete application for a Zoning
By-law amendment.
AND TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham will hold
an electronic virtual public meeting on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. in the Municipal
Council Chambers in Straffordville to consider a proposed Zoning By-law amendment under
Section 34 of the PLANNING ACT.
THE PURPOSE of this By-law is amendment to change the zoning regulations on 36.8 ha (90
acres) of land to allow supplementary farm dwelling floor area maximum of 279 m2 (3,003 ft2) in
the form of two mobile trailers and one permanent building to accommodate up to eighteen (18)

ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make a written or verbal representation in
support of or in opposition to the proposed amendment.
IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make
written submissions to the Municipality of Bayham before the by-law is passed, the person or
public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council of the Corporation of the
Municipality of Bayham to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal.
IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make
written submissions to the Municipality of Bayham before the by-law is passed, the person or
public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning
Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
IF YOU WISH to be notified of the adoption of the proposed amendment, you must make a written
request to the undersigned.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the proposed amendment may be obtained at the
Municipal Office.
