PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT 2 (a) Application submitted by Rob Thompson and Donna Sykes The purpose of the public meeting is to consider an application to change the zoning on a recently severed parcel from the Agricultural (Al) Zone to the Rural Residential (RR) Zone and to change the zoning on the retained parcel from the Agricultural (Al) Zone to the site-specific Special Agricultural (A2-12) Zone The effect of the by-law will be to accommodate the severance of a surplus dwelling and to prohibit the establishment of any new residential dwellings on the retained agricultural lands in accordance with the land severance policies of the Official Plan 5. '`; ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT (hand-delivered) ,/�eo IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYHAM .fi")"\f"' po > i .,,,...s* APPLICANT: THOMPSON/SYKES TAKE NOTICE that the Municipality of Bayham has received a complete application for a Zoning By-law amendment. AND TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham will hold a public meeting on Thursday, September 17,2015 at 7:30 p.m.in the Municipal Council Chambers in Straffordville to consider a proposed Zoning By-law amendment under Section 34 of the PLANNING ACT. THE PURPOSE of this By-law is to change the zoning on a recently severed lot measuring 4048.9 sq. m. (1.0 acre)in area,from the Agricultural(A1)Zone to Rural Residential(RR)Zone, and to change the zoning on the retained 40.0 hectares(99 acres)of land from the Agricultural(A1)Zone to site-specific Special Agricultural (A2-12)Zone in Zoning By-law Z456-2003. The subject lands are located on Part Lot 14, Concession 4,on the south side of Calton Line, east of Bogus Road, and known municipally as 55963 Calton Line. THE EFFECT of this By-law will be to accommodate the severance of a surplus dwelling, and to prohibit the establishment of any new residential dwellings on the retained agricultural lands in accordance with the land severance policies of the Official Plan. Site-specific regulations on the retained lands are also required to recognize the larger 40 hectare minimum lot area. Subject to Elgin County Land Division Consent Application E42/15. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make a written or verbal representation in support of or in opposition to the proposed amendment. IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of Bayham before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham to the Ontario Municipal Board. IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Municipality of Bayham before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so. IF YOU WISH to be notified of the adoption of the proposed amendment, you must make a written request to the undersigned.
