VALERIE DONNELL DAN FROESE SUSAN CHILCOTT PAUL SHIPWAY MARGARET UNDERHILL Mayor Ketchabaw called the public meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. 2. DISCLOSURES OF PECUNIARY INTEREST & THE GENERAL NATURE THEREOF None. 3. CHAIRMAN'S REMARKS ON THE PURPOSE OF THE MEETING The Chairman stated the purpose and effect of the proposed amendment. 4. PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT A. Application submitted by Henrich Peters, 54945 Vienna Line THE PURPOSE of this By-law is to change the zoning on a 34.2 ha (84.6 acres) parcel of land from an Agricultural (Al) zone to a site -specific Agriculture (Al-XX) zone to permit "kennel use" in addition to the permitted uses in the Al zone and to recognize the kennel facilities, in Zoning By-law Z456-2003. The subject lands are located at 54945 Vienna Line, south side, west of Brown Road. THE EFFECT of this By-law will be to allow a kennel for the boarding of dogs in an accessory building with floor area of 9 m2 (96 ft2) and within a fenced area of 600m2 (6,458 ft2) approximately 35 m (114 ft) south of the existing dwelling. 5. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION 2 Statutory Planning Minutes June 18, 2020 Henrich Peters stated he received the neighbour's letters earlier today and further described his proposal to establish a Kennel for the family as a business and hopes that the neighbour's concerns can be addressed. 6. CORRESPONDENCE Deputy Clerk/Planning Coordinator informed that two email correspondence, neighbours Greg & Jocelyn Underhill and Albert and Joyce Assel, has been received expressing concerns with dogs running loose, number of dogs at the property exceeds the limit and safety for themselves and their family pets. 7. OTHER BUSINESS None 8. ADJOURNMENT Moved by: Councillor Froese Seconded by: Councillor Chilcott THAT the Zoning By-law be considered at a future meeting; AND THAT pursuant to the Planning Act requirements, the Public Meeting for Zoning Application Henrich Peters is now complete at 7:34 p.m. MAYOR
