CALL TO ORDER Mayor Ketchabaw called the public meeting to order at 8:16 p.m. and asked those in attendance for the Court of Revision regarding the Vienna Line Drain to place their name and contact information on the sign-in sheet provided at the podium. 2. DISCLOSURES OF PECUNIARY INTEREST & THE GENERAL NATURE THEREOF No disclosures of pecuniary interest were declared. 3. CHAIRMAN'S REMARKS ON THE PURPOSE OF THE MEETING A. Vienna Line Drain Notice of Court of Revision Pursuant to Chapter D17, Section 41 of the Drainage Act the purpose of the Court of Revision is to provide an opportunity for any person or body entitled to receive Notice to appeal their assessment as per Engineers Report#218145 dated September 17, 2019 as prepared by Spriet Associates 4. STAFF PRESENTATION A. Report DS-70/19 by Bill Knifton, Chief Building OfficiallDrainage Superintendent re Vienna Line Drain Court of Revision 2 2019 Court of Revision Minutes November 7, 2019 Vienna Line Drain Chief Building OfficiallDrainage Superintendent, Bill Knifton presented the report with review of the Engineers Report and advised two appeals were received from Brad Valko and Dave Racz. Engineer, John Spriet provided an overview of the purpose of the Court of Revision and explained the terms Benefit and Outlet as per the Drainage Act as well as how the assessment is calculated. 5. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION Mr. Brad Valko appealed his assessment stating that housing development has pushed water onto other properties and onto the road as well as changed the topography. John Spriet commented that costs are assessed as the land currently stands. Mr. Dave Racz appealed his assessment, specifically the benefit portion of Branch A and the percentage at which he is assessed. John Spriet presented a topographic map and explained the map and the benefit to Mr. Racz as well as the need for a legal outlet. Mr. Spriet answered questions from Council in regard to benefit to Mr. Racz and determination of the percentage for the assessment charged to landowners. 6. DISPOSITION Moved by: Deputy Mayor Weisler Seconded by: Councillor Chilcott THAT the Court of Revision for the Vienna Line Drain hereby confirms the assessments as per the Engineer's Report#218145 dated September 17, 2019. CARRIED 7. ADJOURNMENT Moved by: Deputy Mayor Weisler Seconded by: Councillor Chilcott THAT the Court of Revision for the Vienna Line Drain be adjourned at 8:54 p.m. CARRIED MAY R
