BY-LAW NO. Z192-89
BEING A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NO. 2387
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of
Bayham deems it necessary to amend its Zoning By-law No . 2387;
THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Township of
Bayham enacts as follows :
1 . THAT By-law No. 2387 , as amended , is hereby further
amended by amending Section 17, Highwa1 Commercial (HWC)
Zone Regulations by adding a new subsection to Section
7 . 10 EXCEPTIONS - HWC Zone as follows :
"17 . 10.2
17 .10.2.1 Defined Area
HWC-2 as shown on Schedule ' A' , Map 7 to this
By-law.
17. 10.2.2 Permitted Uses
Assembly Hall
Caterer ' s Establishment
17. 10.2. 3 Permitted Buildings and Structures
Existing buildings and structures for the
permitted uses."
2 . THAT By-law No . 2387 , as amended , is hereby further
amended by amending Schedule "A" , Map 7 by deleting from
the Rural Commercial (RC) Zone and adding to the Special
Highway Commercial (HWC-2) Zone, those lands enclosed in
heavy solid lines and marked HWC-2 on Schedule "A" to this
By-law, which schedule is attached to and forms part of
this By-law.
3. THAT By-law No . 2387 , as amended, is hereby further
amended by amending Section 2 - Definitions by adding a
new subsection as follows :
"2. 140 ASSEMBLY HALL, shall mean a building or part
of a building in which facilities are provided
for such purposes as meetings for civic,
educational , political , religious, or social
purposes and may include a banquet hall or
private club.
2.141 CATERER' S ESTABLISHMENT, shall mean an
establishment in which food and beverages are
prepared for consumption on or off the
premises to customers but does not include a
restaurant. "

4 . THIS By-law comes Into force :
a) where no notice of objection has been filed with the
Township' s Clerk within the time prescribed by the
Planning Act : 983 and regulations pursuant thereto,
upon the expiration of the prescribed time; or
b) where notice of objection has been filed with the
Township' s Clerk within the time prescribed by the
Planning Act 1983 and regulations pursuant thereto ,
upon the approval of the Ontario Municipal Board.

READ a SECOND time this 1st day of June, 1989 .
READ a THIRD time and FINALLY PASSED this 1st day of June , 1989

NOTICE OF THE PASSING
OF A ZONING BY—LAW BY
THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWNSHIP OF BAYHAM
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Bayham passed By-Law No. Z192-89 on the 1st day of June,
1989 under Section 34 of THE PLANNING ACT, 1983 .
AND TAKE NOTICE that any person or agency may appeal to the
Ontario Municipal Board in respect of the By-Law by filing with
the Clerk of the Township of Bayham not later than the 6th day
of July, 1989 , a notice of appeal setting out the objection to
the By-Law and the reasons in support of the objection.
An explanation of the purpose and effect of the By-Law,
describing the lands to which the By-Law applies, and a key map
showing the location of the lands to which the By-Law applies
(or , alternatively an explanation as to why a key map is not
provided) are attached . The complete By-Law is available for
inspection in my office during regular office hours.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The purpose of By-law No . Z192-89 is to change the zoning on a
0.72 hectare (1 .78 acre) parcel of land situated on the north-
east corner of Part of Lot 18 , Concession 10, in the Township
of Bayham, from the Rural Commercial (RC) Zone to the Special
Highway Commercial (HWC-2) Zone.
The effect of this By-law will be to permit the{renovation of
an existing building which presently contains an auction sales
barn and one residential dwelling unit as an accessory use to
the commercial activity. It is proposed that the structure
will be renovated to provide for an assembly hall and caterer 's
establishment. The existing dwelling unit will be used for
office space and staff rooms in conjunction with the new hall
and catering service. All renovations are expected to occur
within the existing structure.
