BY-LAW NO.Z432-2001
BEING AN INTERIM CONTROL BY-LAW
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham deems it
necessary to adopt an Interim Control By-law pursuant to Section 38 of the Planning Act.
THEREFORE,the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham enacts as
follows:
1. THAT pursuant to the investigation of environmental and land use planning
implications associated with intensive livestock operations,the establishment of
new intensive livestock operations and the expansion of existing intensive
livestock operations involving 100 or more total animal units, shall be prohibited
in all zones in the Municipality of Bayham for one year from the effective date of
this by-law.
2. THAT pursuant to the investigation of environmental and land use planning
implications associated with liquid manure storage facilities, the establishment of
new liquid manure storage facilities and expansion of existing facilities shall be
prohibited in all zones in the Municipality of Bayham for one year from the
effective date of this by-law.
3. THIS By-law comes into force:
(a) where no notice of objection has been filed with the Clerk of the
Municipality within the time prescribed by the Planning Act upon the
expiration of the prescribed time; or
(b) where notice of objection has been filed with the Clerk of the Municipality
within the time prescribed by the Planning Act upon the approval of the
Ontario Municipal Board.
READ a first and second time this 19th day of July,2001.
READ a third time and finally passed this 19th day of July, 2001.
