1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Ens called the public meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and asked those in attendance for
this Planning Public Meeting regarding a Zoning By-Law Amendment application by Carolyn
Baker to place their name and contact information on the sign-in sheet provided at the podium.
2. DISCLOSURES OF PECUNIARY INTEREST & THE GENERAL NATURE THEREOF
No disclosures of pecuniary interest were declared.
3. CHAIRMAN'S REMARKS ON THE PURPOSE OF THE MEETING
The Chairman stated the purpose and effect of the proposed amendment.
4. PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT
A. Application submitted by Carolyn Baker
The purpose of the public meeting is to consider an application to change the zoning on
a 222 m2 (2,389 ft2) parcel of land from a Village Residential (R1) Zone to the Site-
Specific Village Residential (R1-XX) in Zoning By-law Z456-2003. The zone change is
to permit the reconstruction and reorientation of a single detached dwelling. The subject
lands are located at 8 Robinson Street, east side, south of Brock Street, in the Village of
Port Burwell.
The effect of the by-law will be to allow for the replacement of a dwelling in disrepair and
to recognize the reduced lot area, no lot frontage and reduced lot setbacks.

5. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
None.
6. CORRESPONDENCE
Deputy ClerkiPlanning Coordinator, M. Underhill advised comment received from the owners of
2 Robinson Street in support of the zoning, however they expressed concern regarding the
existing cottage and deck setbacks. The Deputy Clerkplanning Coordinator advised the issue
will be addressed in the rezoning process.

8. ADJOURNMENT

Seconded by: Deputy Mayor Southwick
THAT the Zoning By-law be considered at the meeting scheduled for September 20, 2018;
AND THAT pursuant to the Planning Act requirements, the Public Meeting for Zoning
Application Carolyn Baker is now complete at 7:35 p.m.
