ran at latae on the Streets of this Tillage, without
being on chain or leash and in oQarge of the owner,
and any Infractions of t h is Bye-law to be Q es l t with
by the Poi ioe Magistrate accordingly.
This Bye-Law is in accordance with the Municipal Act
(Moot 6 of the Act) and was read let, End and 3rd time
and passed and is now regiatared and will be
in effect after this PUBLIC UTI434

in Council assembled ,
A Hereby enacts the fo' ' owing Bylaw
of the said Village : -
Viz : - That no Corporation or Body
of Persons or Private Individuals , shall be
permitted to erect or establish a
fertilizer or any other Plant that may
be deemed a nuisance to the Inhabitants
of the said Po' ice Village.
This Bylaw shall take immediate
effect from and after the passing thereof.

Board of Trustees Meet Last Friday Evening in Each Month
C.P.R.Railroad,Ingersoll Branch SEPTEMBER 1st 1931.

A PUBLIC MEETING of the Ratepayers of the Village of
Port Burwell yoas lito the Police Hall on the above date for the
purpose of co i 1the proposition of the aim. Stone Sons Ltd
of Ingersoll, o erect a mixing plant in Port Burwell for the
purpose of mixing and distributing fertilizer.
A. J. Bodsworth was elected Chairman of the meeting and
E.C.Spragge, Secretary.
Mr R. Stone was then introduced and he explained in
detail the proposed building and its operation, and dealt with
possible objections. He answered questions regarding size of the
proposed plant, chemicals to be used and location.
Moved by R. Meyers and seconded by R.Kirxby, that
the Trustees be empowered to rescind Bylaw No 2 , carried at a
previous meeting. Carried unanimously.
Moved by E. C. Sprague and seconded by R. Meyers
that this meeting of Ratepayers approve of the proposition of
the Vim. Stone Sons Ltd, under the supervision of the Board of Health
of the Township of Bayham, Elgin County, including the request for
a fixed assessment of X2 ,000.00 for ten years for ...unicipal
purposes , it being understood that taxes imposed for educational
purposes (namely School faxes) shall be paid on a fair
assessment of the property. Carried unanimously.
The meeting was then adjourned.
