CALLTO ORDER Mayor Ens called the public meeting to order at 7:51 p.m. and asked those in attendance for the Planning Public Meeting regarding a Rezoning to place their name and contact information on the sign-in sheet provided at the podium. 2. DISCLOSURES OF PECUNIARY INTEREST & THE GENERAL NATURE THEREOF No disclosures of pecuniary interest were declared. 3. CHAIRMAN'S REMARKS ON THE PURPOSE OF THE MEETING The Chairman stated the purpose and effect of the proposed amendment. 4. PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT A. Application submitted by Gerda and Leo Schrijver THE PURPOSE of this By-law is to change the zoning regulations on 6381 m2 (1.5 acre) of surplus dwelling lands in the Agricultural (A1) Zone to a Rural Residential (RR) Zone and by changing the retained farm lands of 19.58 ha (48.4 acre) from Agricultural (A1) Zone to a Site-specific Special Agricultural (A2-XX) Zone recognizing reduced lot area in Zoning By-law Z456-2003. The subject lands are located on the north side of Ottergate Line, east of Culloden Road known as 54530 Ottergate Line. THE EFFECT of this By-law will be to allow for residential use on a 6381 m2 (1.5 acre) of surplus farm dwelling lands and for reduced minimum lot area of 19.58 ha (48.4 acre) for the retained agricultural lands where 20.0 ha is the minimum in the Al-A Zone. 2017 Council Minutes March 2, 2017 5. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION None. 6. CORRESPONDENCE Deputy Clerk I Planning Coordinator M. Underhill advised no written submissions were received. 7. OTHER BUSINESS None. 8. ADJOURNMENT Pursuant to the Planning Act requirements the Public Meeting is now complete and the Zoning by-law will be considered at the meeting scheduled for March 16, 2017.
