Present were Mayor Max Stewart, Deputy Mayor Jack Petrie, Councillors David Mason, John Nezezon, and Cliff Evanitski, Administrator/Treasurer Lynn S. Buchner, and Clerk Lynda Millard. 1. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Max Stewart called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. 2. DISCLOSURE OF PECUNIARY INTEREST & THE GENERAL NATURE THEREOF There was no disclosure of pecuniary interest and the general nature thereof. 3. Petrie "WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Bayham received a petition dated February 23, 1999 from the Concerned Citizens of South Bayham regarding pre- amalgamation matters in the Village of Port Burwell; AND WHEREAS police have informed Council that evidence of criminal activity is required in order to investigate these matters; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT said evidence be submitted to Police by the petitioners before Council considers any investigation." Nezezon "THAT the Township of Malahide correspondence dated February 22, 1999 be received; THAT the Council of the Municipality of Bayham hereby supports the appointment of Aylmer Deputy Mayor Doug Avram as the alternate representative for the municipalities of Aylmer/Bayham/Malahide to the Provisional Joint Board of Management for the Elgin Area Primary Water Supply System; AND THAT the Council of the Municipality of Bayham supports the letter from the City of St. Thomas to the City of London dated February 8, 1999, and their concerns with the name change of the system and the order of appointments as it affects Aylmer,Malahide and Bayham appointment to the Provisional Board; AND THAT the Council of the Municipality of Bayham also supports the Township of Malahide in preferring the following wording regarding the appointment of representation from the municipalities of Bayham,Aylmer and Malahide: 'that a mutually accepted representative will be appointed from the three municipalities', as opposed to a rotating appointment."
