Box 160, 9344 Plank Road STRAFFORDVILLE, ONTARIO Thursday,March 2,2000 9:00 a.m. The regular meeting of Council of the Municipality of Bayharn, was held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 2,2000 in Council Chambers. Present were Mayor Max Stewart, Deputy Mayor John Nezezon, Councillors David Mason, Mathew Schafer and Cliff Evanitski, Administrator Kyle Kruger and Clerk Lynda Millard. 1. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Max Stewart called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. 2. DISCLOSURE OF PECUNIARY INTEREST & THE GENERAL NATURE THEREOF Councillor Schafer disclosed a pecuniary interest regarding confidential property items 11.1(c) and 11.1(d), and left Council Chambers during discussion of these items. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Minutes of the Special Meeting held February 15, 2000 Minutes of the Regular Meeting held February 17, 2000 2000-99 Moved by D. Mason Seconded by C. DELEGATIONS (a) 9:05 a.m.—Kim Tait,representative Bayham Community Policing Committee gave a brief presentation regarding their activities and requested financial support for 2000. Item 9.1(g) (b) 9:30 a.m.—Kathleen Steele,made a presentation regarding a Roads Needs Study completed by the former Village of Port Burwell, and encouraged Council to proceed with carrying out the priorities of that report which would include the paving of Addison and Tennyson Streets. Mason "THAT Staff Report D2000-11 be received; AND THAT in accordance with Bayham Council Resolution No. 99-438 dated August 5, 1999, Staff be directed to develop terms of reference for the Bayham Trans Canada Trail Committee and to advertise for interested citizens to be appointed (preferably but not limited to one volunteer from each ward), and that Councillor David Mason, representing Council and Maureen Beatty representing staff be hereby appointed; AND THAT Councillor David Mason be appointed to represent the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham as a voting member on the Elgin-St. Thomas Trans Canada Trail Committee; AND THAT a cheque in the amount of$200.00 be forwarded to the Elgin-St. Thomas Trans Canada Trail Committee as Bayham's contribution to offset the Committee's operating expenses and activities."
