The regular meeting of Council of the Municipality of Bayham was held at 7:00 p.m. on
Thursday,December 6, 2001 in Council Chambers. Present were Mayor Max Stewart, Deputy
Mayor Lynn Acre, Councillors David Mason and cur Evanitski, Administrator Kyle Kruger,
Clerk Lynda Millard and Coordinator of Planning Michael Graves.
Councillor Mathew Schafer was absent.

Mayor Stewart called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Added item
(d) Councillor Mason requested what follow-up had been done regarding By-law Z415-2000
proposed for a Port Burwell property under a holding designation for which a Public
meeting was held in December 1999.
Councillor Mason was advised that the by-law was deferred pending approval of the
consolidated Official Plan for the Municipality of Bayham and subsequent zoning by-
law.
Staff was directed to forward correspondence requesting final approval of the new
Official Plan.

access centres(AHACs) in communities across Ontario;
AND THAT copies of the resolution be forwarded to the Minister of Health and
Long Term Care,Hon. Tony Clement; Steve Peters,M.P.P.; Association of Ontario
Health Centres, Gary O'Connor,Executive Director; Rural Ontario Municipal
Association (ROMA); Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) and Ontario

(a) Councillor Evanitski reported that, on behalf of the Long Point Region Conservation
Authority, he had attended the Letourneau Conference recently. From what was La taT r,a I1
presented at the conference he suggested that the Nutrient Management Act is unlikely to
become enacted until late next year. He noted that the Municipality's temporary by-law
will expire prior to this, and that Staff should be seeking ways to be proactive in
protection of local ground water. He encouraged others to attend this conference in the
future.
