Box 160, 9344 Plank Road STRAFFORDVILLE, ONTARIO Thursday, October 3,2002 7:00 p.m. The regular meeting of Council of the Municipality of Bayham was held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2002 in Council Chambers. Present were Mayor Max Stewart, Deputy Mayor Lynn Acre, Councillors Matt Schafer and Cliff Evanitski, Administrator Kyle Kruger, Clerk Lynda Millard and Planning Coordinator Michael Graves. Councillor David Mason was absent. I. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Stewart called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 2. DISCLOSURE OF PECUNIARY INTEREST & THE GENERAL NATURE THEREOF None 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Minutes of the Regular Meeting held September 19, 2002 2002-414 Moved by L. Acre Seconded by C. Evanitski "THAT the minutes of the regular meeting of the Municipality of Bayham held September 19, 2002 be approved." Disposition: Motion Carried Unanimously 4. DELEGATIONS (a) 7:00 p.m. --Staff Sergeant Ryan Cox, O.P.P. was present regarding policing update and concerns raised by Port Burwell residents. He introduced Acting Sergeant Robin Brocanier who will be working with the Community Policing Committee. Officer Dennis Harwood was also present. Evanitski "THAT the correspondence dated September 14,2002 from Sharon Reiser, Royal Canadian Legion, Port Burwell-Bayham Branch be received; AND THAT the Municipality of Bayham grants permission to use Victoria and Pitt Streets in Port Burwell as requested, subject to providing proof of liability insurance coverage; AND THAT the Council of the Municipality of Bayham request permission from the County of Elgin to use Wellington Street in Port Burwell between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. and Plank Road and Edison Drive in Vienna between 10:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. for the Armistice Day Parades on Sunday November 9, 2002; AND THAT the Public Works Superintendent be directed to make the necessary arrangements for traffic control and safety." Schafer "THAT Staff report D2002-44 be received; AND THAT Staff be instructed to pay Town of Tillsonburg Invoice Number 02-719 in the amount of$15,909 out of this year's budget for works on Bayham Drive; AND THAT the remainder of the budget for works on Bayham Drive after payment of invoice 02-719 and paving of the section from Clearview Drive to the CNR tracks be placed into reserves for future works on Bayham Drive."
