Box 160,9344 Plank Road STRAFFORDVILLE, ONTARIO Thursday, March 7,2002 7:00 p.m. Public Meetings—Drainage 7:05 p.m. Rezoning 7:15 & 7:30 p.m. The regular meeting of Council of the Municipality of Bayham was held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2002 in Council Chambers. Present were Mayor Max Stewart,Deputy Mayor Lynn Acre, Councillors Matt Schafer and Cliff Evanitski,Administrator Kyle Kruger, Clerk Lynda Millard, Coordinator of Planning Michael Graves and Drainage Superintendent Dwayne Daniel. Councillor David Mason was absent I. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Stewart called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 2. DISCLOSURE OF PECUNIARY INTEREST & THE GENERAL NATURE 'I REOF Councillor Schafer declared a pecuniary interest in item 6.1(a). 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Minutes of the Regular Meeting held February 21,2002 2002-84 Moved by M. Schafer Seconded by C.Evanitski "THAT the minutes of the regular meeting of the Municipality of Bayham held February 21, 2002 be approved." Disposition: Motion Carried Unanimously 4. DELEGATIONS (a) 7:05 p.m..—John Spriet,Engineer Spriet Associates regarding Drainage Public Meeting. Item 7.1(a) (b) 8:00 p.m.—Wayne Casieri Bayham Community Health Action Committee was in attendance and presented the East Elgin Health.Needs Assessment Study to Council. Item 9.1(b) Added Items Deputy Mayor Acre, Councillor Schafer and the Administrator requested additional items for consideration which were added as Items 9.1(e), 9.1(f), 9.1(g)and 11.1(b). AND FURTHER THAT the current firefighter insurance through Frank Cowan Company Limited be discontinued." Evanitski "THAT Staff Report E2002-003 regarding Sanitary Sewer Connections be received; AND THAT a By-law be prepared to amend By-law No. 99-95 by providing for mandatory connection to municipal sanitary sewers only for buildings within 50 metres of such sewer, the distance being measured from the nearest portion of the building foundation to the nearest connection point of the sewer; AND THAT sewer levies as provided in By-law No 2001-85 remain applicable to such properties regardless of whether connection is actually made."
