A Special meeting of Council of the Municipality of Bayham was held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday,
April 28, 2000 in the Committee Room. Present were Mayor Max Stewart, Deputy Mayor
Nezezon, Councillors David Mason, Mathew Schafer and Cliff Evanitski, Administrator Kyle
Kruger and Clerk Lynda Millard.
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Max Stewart called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
2. DISCLOSURE OF PECUNIARY INTEREST & THE GENERAL
NATURE THEREOF
There was no disclosure of pecuniary interest and the general nature thereof.
3. FINANCE, ADMINISTRATION & PERSONNEL
1. CORRESPONDENCE&REPORTS
Staff Report F2000-09 regarding the 2000 Budget. From April 20th.
File: F05
The Administrator provided Council with a brief summary of the amendments that had
been made to date. He advised that it is still uncertain whether the cost of the O.P.P.
Service Contract will be included on the County or the local levy. Inclusion on the local
level will result in a 3.9%local tax rate increase.

"THAT Staff Report F2000-09 be received;
AND THAT By-Law 2000-36, being a bylaw to adopt the assessment on which taxes
shall be levied for the year 2000,the budget setting out the current estimates,to
establish a levy for the year 2000,to adopt tax rates and provide for penalty and
interest in default of payment,and the collection thereof,be presented to Council for
enactment.
