Box 160, 9344 Plank Road STRAFFORDVILLE, ONTARIO Thursday, March 20, 2003 7:00 p.m. Public Meeting(7:30 p.m.) The regular meeting of the Council of the Municipality of Bayham was held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2003 in Council Chambers. Present were Mayor Max Stewart, Deputy Mayor Lynn Acre, Councillors Matt Schafer and Cliff Evanitski, Administrator Kyle Kruger, Clerk Lynda Millard, Co-ordinator of Planning Michael Graves and Treasurer Suzanna Mantel. Randy Underhill was present regarding the Public Meeting. 1. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Stewart called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and requested those present to stand and observe a moment of silence in memory of Councillor David Mason who had passed away earlier in the morning. 2. Schafer "THAT Staff Report C2003-03 regarding the Vienna Sesquicentennial Parade Route be received; AND THAT the proposed Parade Route be approved; AND THAT the Council of the Municipality of Bayham hereby requests permission from the County of Elgin to use Plank Road from Water Street, north-easterly to Edison Drive and Edison Drive north, circling back on Elm Street, crossing Fulton to Plank Road, thence westerly returning to Water Street on Saturday May 31, 2003 between 9:30 a.m. and 12:00 noon; AND THAT the Council of the Municipality of Bayham requests that the County of Elgin authorize the closure of Plank Road from Chute Line to North Street on Saturday May 31, 2003 between 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. except to local traffic, at the discretion of the Bayham Public Works Superintendent; AND FURTHER THAT the County of Elgin be advised that the Municipality of Bayham Public Works Department will provide appropriate signage and traffic control to ensure public safety."
