The regular meeting of the Council of the Municipality of Bayham was held at 7:00 p.m. on
Thursday,May 15, 2003 in Council Chambers. Present were Mayor Max Stewart,Deputy
Mayor Lynn Acre, Councillors K.C. Emerson and Cliff Evanitski, Administrator Kyle Kruger
and Clerk Lynda Millard. Councillor Mathew Schafer was absent, Councillor Evanitski left the
meeting at 8:25 p.m.
The Fire Chief Sam Taylor, Co-ordinator of Planning Michael Graves and Water/Wastewater
Superintendent Ed Roloson were in attendance to present their respective reports.
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Stewart called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
2. DISCLOSURE OF PECUNIARY INTEREST & THE GENERAL
NATURE THEREOF
Councillor Emerson declared an interest in Item 8.1 (c) as he is an owner of one of the
properties listed in the correspondence and did not vote on this item.

4. DELEGATIONS
(a) 7:00 p.m.—Steve Beatty.Emergency Management Ontario,Ministry of Public Safety
and Security was in attendance regarding the Community Emergency Management
Program. Mr. Beatty outlined the Essential Program Standards requirements.
(b) 7:30 p.m.—Matt Waller regarding Landscaping Services and a drainage matter was
scheduled but did not attend.

agreement be prepared for Council's consideration."

THAT Council supports the recommendation of the Celebrate Vienna Committee to
authorize the spending of the Ontario Trillium Foundation funds allocating$600 to
Vienna signage, and the balance toward the printing cost for 500 copies of the
Vienna Historical Highlights publication in accordance with the requirements of the
Ontario Trillium Foundation approval;
THAT Council supports that,upon approval of the application submitted to the
Conununication Canada Sponsorship Program,the spending of the funds by the
Celebrate Vienna Committee,in accordance with the requirements and guidelines
of the Sponsorship Program approval, be authorized;
AND THAT the CIerk be authorized to execute the necessary documents regarding
the funding approvals."
